Building your Hull
Western Red Cedar Canoe Strips Planking forms the body of your canoe, it must be the best! We hand pick every piece so you don't have to bother about butt joints nor knots. We even include extras, just in case. Colours vary, so you can design the pattern you want including any accent strips along the waterline or shear. Precision milled planking is bead and cove 3/4" x model length. (Please specify your model choice):

The Cosine wherry is a beautiful light rowing boat weighing less than a hundred pounds and is well suited for leisurely excursions. The Cosine Wherry is also suitable for a small motor.

Rip, Strip and Row by J.D. Brown, an easy to understand guide to building the Cosine Wherry with full scale plans requiring no lofting or offsets, the instructions carry you quickly along. (C50).
- Canoecraft by Ted Moores and Merilyn Mohr, an illustrated, easy-to-follow manual for building with wood strips. Although written for building canoes, it is highly recommended for its detail and helpful hints on using West System™ Epoxy and finishing techniques. (C51).

We believe our Blue Water Yacht Tenders are the best looking and sea keeping tenders around. Hull design includes a traditional look with strong and extremely durable construction. Light weight, approximately 65 lbs, the Tenders are easily car topped, safely towed safely and easily lifted on to a deck. A small motor may also be added.

D2: Rowing and Sailing Tenders
The 9 1/2' Blue Water Sailing Yacht Tender
A yacht tender designed for easy assembly using woodstrip construction. As a light weight tender (65lbs) it's easy to draw behind cruisers and yachts, yet can be lifted readily. Beam is 42", depth 18", 3 hp. rating. Rowing version has two sheets of full sized drawings and the sailing version has four sheets. Rowing model (D2a), Sailing model (D2b).
- The 8' Blue Water Sailing Yacht Tender This beautiful and durable round bottomed eight footer is designed for easy wood strip and epoxy construction. Beam is 42", depth 15", 4 hp. Finished weight is about 75 lbs. Three full sheets inc. sail plan.(D2d).
- The 7' 7" and 9' 6" Nutshell Prams
These proven easily built vee-bottom rowing and sailing prams are ideal for car topping, teaching children boat handling. A small 2 h.p. outboard can be added. Using glued lapped plywood, they can be finished in about 2-4 weeks. A popular yacht tender and a terrific building project for your kids. Plans include full-sized patterns, scale drawings, construction details, sail plan. (D2f)

D5: Kayaks
18'4" Panache, West Greenland
Ideal for the expert kayaker, this sea kayak is built in the tradition of the West Greenland Boats.It's narrow and rounded hull reduces wetted surfaces increasing speed. The deep Vee sections fore and aft and the deep foot of the stem sallow it to track exceptionally well in strong winds. Constructed in clear grade Western Red Cedar, the Panache is not only a beauty to behold but it is a joy to paddle. (D5a)
- 16'6" Georgian Bay
Shallow arch hull produces high initial stability and manuverability. Easily built, this kayak is ideal for
navigating marshes and everglades while fishing or nature watching. It rides easily in the hands of a novice and yet is still the choice of many expert kayakers. (D5b).
- 17" Sea Kayak Endeavour
This Steve Killing design is ideal for the novice paddler. Best suited for summer holiday excursions or day trips. The cedar strip bead and cove Sea Endeavour is quick and tracks well and comes complete with a 32 page instruction booklet. (D5c)
D6: Hydroplanes
The Bobcat 8 Mini-Hydro SR1 (weight 85lbs., LOA 8’5”, Beam 56”)
Any outboard motor from 5 - 15 hp can be used wit an estimated speed of 25 mhp with a 5 hp and 30-40 mhp with the 15 hp. An inexpensive but a fast rugged little hydrplane. This is a good first boat as a
family project. Can be assembled in a weekend, only a few simple tools needed. Plans with full size patterns (D6a). Complete kits available.
- Racing Hydro 9 Class B CN-132 (weight 90 lbs. length 9’ beam 62”)
Pleanty of thrills await the owner of the one-seater hydro. A variety of motors may be used with this hull with a power rating up to 20hp and speeds of 50-55 mhp. Plans with ful sized patterns (D6b).
