¹ This is not a complete list, but they are the major players - many other search engines use results generated by these engines. Also most of these use each other's listings to a greater or lesser extent. Submitting a site to many of these search engines is still free (although there is an increasing tendency to charge), and can be done in about an hour (with practice!).
