Links to Websites Back to Top

Here is a list of just some of the websites I have used extensively in producing this site. It is not exhaustive or comprehensive, and most of these sites have their own Links pages which you can use to find further resources.

I considered including a forum and message board on this website but, given that there are several already established, I decided just to provide links to some of these:

Books Back to Top

There are hundreds of books on the subject including, but not limited to, popular best-sellers by the so-called New Atheist group (Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchen, Sam Harris, etc), and I have read many over the years. I have also read the Bible - trust me - although admittedly not for many years. Here is a selection of books I have read or re-read recently while preparing this website:

  • “Atheism: A Very Short Introduction” by Julian Baggini (Oxford University Press, 2003)
  • "The Science of Good and Evil" by Michael Shermer (Times Books/Henry Holt, 2004)
  • “Atheist Universe” by David Miller (Ulysses Press, 2006)
  • “The God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins (Houghton Mifflin Company, 2006)
  • “God Is Not Great” by Christopher Hitchen (McClelland & Stewart, 2007)
  • “God: The Failed Hypothesis” by Victor J. Stenger (Prometheus Books, 2007)
  • “Atheism Explained: From Folly to Philosophy” by David Ramsay Steele (Open Court, 2008)
  • “Atheism: A Rough History of Disbelief” (documentary TV series) by Jonathan Miller (BBC, 2004)
  • “Religulous” (documentary film) by Bill Maher (Sony Pictures, 2008)
